Current CQRDGP membership classes are as follows:
GP Members – this category of membership open to medical practitioners (as defined in s3 of the Health Insurance Act 1973 (Cth)) who carry on general practice in Rural Central Queensland involving the provision of primary, continuing and comprehensive whole-patient care to individuals, families and their community; and
Registered Health Practitioners – this category of membership is open to persons other than medical practitioners (as defined in s3 of the Health Insurance Act 1973 (Cth)) who are tertiary qualified health professionals who apply their skills to diagnose, restore and maintain optimal physical, sensory, psychological, cognitive and social function for individuals, families and their community in Rural Central Queensland; and
General Practice Personnel – this category of membership is open to persons other than medical practitioners (as defined in s3 of the Health Insurance Act 1973 (Cth)) and registered health practitioners who are employed in a Rural Central Queensland General Practice and who support and/or contribute to the provision of primary, continuing and comprehensive whole-patient care to individuals, families and their community; and
Such other persons as the Board may admit to membership in accordance with these Rules.
