Administration Officer (Projects) - Allied Health
Diane Anderson commenced work with the Division in 2009 as a part time Administration Officer in the Biloela office. In February I moved back to Biloela after 5 years, during which time I was owner/operator of my own business in Hervey Bay followed by 18 months as a Property Manager down there. Previous to that I managed a local business in Biloela for 10 years and did a variety of other jobs prior, juggling family and work as only us parents know how. My husband was born in Biloela and I have lived here since 1989 (except for those long 5 years) so consider myself a local, we enjoy the slower paced lifestyle and have lots of good friends and some family in the area. Unfortunately the last of our 4 children started University this year so my husband, Cameron and I are learning to cope with our empty nest. Our 3 daughters and 1 son all have made lives elsewhere so we spend a lot of our time travelling between Rockhampton, Tieri and Toowoomba. We also have 2 grandsons and 1 grand daughter which I don’t get to cuddle enough but are adorable when I do. The hours at the division allow us the flexibility to travel but still give me the enjoyment of working and being proactive in a position that so far is both interesting and part of a great team. Cameron works at Callide B power station where he has been for the past 20years. Our down time includes lots of fishing, camping, 4 wheel driving and of course the great aussie BBQ’s. We are also renovating an old Queenslander just out of town, which keeps us active both physically and mentally, playing mind games persuading each other to do it our way. I am looking forward to many years with the division and hope I can be an asset to the team.
