Sandra Corfield commenced work at the Division in 1995 as a Project Officer. Prior to this Sandra trained in Rockhampton to become an RN in 1984, and a midwife in 1989. Sandra has worked in Biloela, Theodore, Baralaba, Toowoomba and Woorabinda hospitals. She also worked in Edinburgh, Inverness and Galashiels in Scotland and also in the Shetland Islands. Sandra was the Programs Manager for the Division for a number of years where she incorporated her extensive health experience to provide a supportive network for GPs and their practices, this role lead Sandra to her current role as CEO. As well as working hard for the Division Sandra practices her business skills managing a farm. Sandra is also kept very busy by her two children, Genevieve and Harry.
