Practice Details: Emerald Medical Group - is a group general practice established in 1992 by Dr Ewen McPhee. Currently has 4.5 FTE including GP registrars. Access to ultrasound machine and solarscan. Opportunity for lots of occupational health work. Broad range of general practice with a young population base.
Position Description: Full time position to replace a female practitioner. Part time applicants also considered. Procedural skills an advantage but not essential. 2 practices in town with successful applicant working 3 days in one practice and 2 days at the other practice.
After Hours: Low after hours load 1 night/wk on call and 1 weekend in 6. Mid week call outs are rare.

Practice Details: Bidigerdii Community Health Service - Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community Health Service is located in a mining town approximately 200 kilometers west from the city of Rockhampton. The service has been operating for apporximately 6 years and provides a bulk billing services to clients in the Central Highlands. The service is for predominately Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients, but also provides services to patients of various cultures. The practice offers a broad general practice work and has acces to special equipment. Other specialist equipment if clients require it are through the Blackwater Hospital Doctors are assisted by Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Health Workers and registered or Endoresed Enrolled Nurse.
Position Description: Provide professional medical assestance to patients as they present to the clinic and in other community settings as required. Doctor/s to be able to advise asn provide women with contraceptive prescription on request and/or depending onthe medical conditionof the women. Maintain professional standards of medical care and medical equipment at the Community Health Service. Develop and promote effective communication between the Community Health Service and other mainstream health services such as hospitals, GP Division, Community Services, *NACCHO and *QAIHC Doctors must be culturally sensitive to working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff. Doctors to be able to aquire provider numbers with Medicare and Blue Card for working with children. Hours are 8.30am -5.00pm Monday to Friday
